PRINTMAKING IS - AT ITS CORE -

A COLLABORATION, BETWEEN AN
ARTIST, HER TOOLS & COMMUNITY.

new york city, 2015

Jes created Orchard as a way to collaborate with other makers, whether through poster printing, stationery design, or business branding. After studying the techniques of traditional fine art printmaking, she was introduced to letterpress and has focused on this craft now for almost 15 years. She has traveled throughout the US and Europe to meet and work with fellow printers and study the history of print in museums, private studios, and international workshops. She is currently working on restoring a Golding Jobber No. 6 printing press from the early 1900’s.

Jes holds a Master of Fine Arts degree with Distinction in Printmaking and her work has been published and exhibited across the U.S.
Jes has printed for several fine artists and special projects, and her work has been published in Brides, the New York Times and Carats & Cake.

Jes lives in the city with her husband, their dog Oslo, an elderly cat and a tank full of fish named after players of the New York Rangers.
